TRAINING OUTCOMES & PARTICIPANT FEEDBACK

    

Michigan Autism Academy SAOT collects post-training feedback from participants completing instructor-supported workforce training courses. Surveys are administered after course completion to evaluate course clarity, instructor availability, usability of materials, and real-world application.

This page documents participant feedback across select training courses offered to direct care professionals working with children, adults, and seniors with developmental and intellectual disabilities.


Medication Administration Training (6 Hours)


  • Post-training survey responses collected: 170
     
  • Survey period: 2023–2025
     
  • Training format: Instructor-supported (facilitated online)
     
  • Participant feedback summary:
     
    • The majority of participants agreed or strongly agreed that the instructor was available to assist when help was needed
       
    • Participants reported that the training technology was easy to navigate
       
    • Participants indicated strong likelihood of using the course information in their work setting



Health & Wellness Training (6 Hours)

  • Post-training survey responses collected: 156
     
  • Survey period: 2023–2025
     
  • Training format:  Instructor-supported (facilitated online) 


  • Participant feedback summary:
     
    • The majority of participants rated course quality as good or very good
       
    • Participants reported high likelihood of using the information on the job
       
    • Instructor availability and course navigation received strong ratings



 

Introduction to Human Services and Special Needs (5 Hours)

  • Survey period: 2023–2025
     
  • Training format:  Instructor-supported (facilitated online)
     
  • Participant feedback summary:
     
    • The majority of participants agreed or strongly agreed that the instructor was available to assist when help was needed
       
    • Participants reported that the training technology was easy to navigate
       
    • Participants indicated a high likelihood of using the course information in their work with individuals with special needs
       
    • Feedback reflected strong ratings for overall course quality, with most participants rating the course materials as good or very good


 

Working With People I (6 Hours)

  • Post-training survey responses collected: 164
     
  • Survey period: 2023–2025
     
  • Training format: Instructor-supported (facilitated online)
     
  • Participant feedback summary:
     
    • The majority of participants agreed or strongly agreed that instructor support was available when assistance was needed
       
    • Participants reported that the training technology was easy to navigate
       
    • Participants indicated a high likelihood of using the course information in their direct care work
       
    • Participants reported increased understanding of foundational skills for supporting individuals with diverse needs


 

Working With People II: Dealing With Difficult Challenges (6 Hours)

  • Post-training survey responses collected: 157
     
  • Survey period: 2023–2025
     
  • Training format: Instructor-supported (facilitated online)
     
  • Participant feedback summary:
     
    • The majority of participants rated the quality of the course content as good or very good
       
    • Participants indicated a high likelihood of using the course information when addressing challenging situations in direct care settings
       
    • Participants reported that instructor support was available when assistance was needed
       
    • Feedback reflected that the course content was comprehensive and addressed complex topics related to managing difficult challenges

 

Emergency Preparedness / Environmental Emergencies (2–4 Hours)

  • Training format: Instructor-supported (facilitated online)

Nutrition (1–4 Hours)
